Summer Lifeline: £200 Cost of Living Payments Hit Bank Accounts

As the summer months approach, many households are breathing a sigh of relief as £200 cost of living payments start hitting their bank accounts. The Household Support Fund (HSF), administered by local councils, is providing a vital lifeline to those struggling to make ends meet.

Struggling to pay the bills

In Birmingham, one of the most impoverished cities in the country, the council has launched its summer scheme, offering £200 grants to those in dire need. The funds are intended to help with essential expenses like food and energy bills.

“Birmingham Voluntary Service Council’s (BVSC) Hardship Grant Community Fund (HGCF) is part of the council’s wider Household Support Fund (HSF) activity. BVSC will be distributing grants of up to £200 to Birmingham households currently facing financial hardship.”

To be eligible, applicants must be Birmingham residents and not have received a £200 grant in the last 12 months. The council warns that proof of address and means-tested benefits may be required.

Don’t miss out on vital support

With the fund set to run until September, or until all funding is exhausted, households are urged to apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Those living in other areas should check their local council’s Household Support Fund details online to see what support is available to them.

Don’t Miss Out on Vital Support

As the cost of living crisis continues to bite, these payments offer a vital lifeline to those struggling to stay afloat. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to get the help you need.
