While stores typically recommend buying curtains two to three times the width of a window, the expert suggested that one-and-a-half times may suffice. Additionally, the recommendation to invest in thermal or blackout linings was underscored as a practical way to save money and enhance home insulation.
The expense of high-quality made-to-measure curtains was revealed to potentially reach up to £3,000, as detailed on Homehow’s website. In contrast, simple nylon curtains are priced between £10 and £40, while professionally fitted custom-designed silk curtains for a large bay window can range from £2,000 to £3,000.
